Why an instance matters You cannot learn configuration from slides. The setup tasks, the error messages, the sequence in which things must be done — all of it only becomes real when you are doing it yourself and something fails.
What sandbox access includes A named user on a Fusion environment with the setup privileges you need, access to Functional Setup Manager, and enough seeded data to run realistic scenarios. Depending on the plan you get ERP, HCM, SCM or a combination.
How to use it well - **Work to a scenario, not a checklist.** "Set up a legal entity" teaches less than "onboard a new subsidiary and post its first journal." - **Break things deliberately.** Post a journal to a closed period. Try to pay an invoice on hold. The error messages are the curriculum. - **Redo from scratch.** The second time you build a Chart of Accounts is when you actually learn it. - **Document as you go.** Your setup notes become your interview preparation.
